Intel® Core™ i7-6700 14nm Desktop Processors are 64-bit multi-core processors built on 14-nanometer process technology. These devices are offered in a 2-chip platform and are connected to a discrete Intel 100 Series Chipset Family Platform Controller Hub (PCH) on the motherboard. These devices leverage the power efficiency to deliver faster performance than previous generation processors. Intelligent power management with Intel Turbo Boost 2.0 dynamically controls performance and power for cores and graphics, boosting performance precisely when needed and saving energy when it counts.

4th Generation Processors

Intel 4th generation Core Processor family delivers Desktop, Mobile, and Embedded products with maximum performance per watt. Intel Haswell Architecture is based on a 22nm process and utilizes FinFET technology for reduced leakage and lowered power consumption. Idle state power consumption has been lowered, creating a 20x improvement from the previous generation, with a 3 second wakeup time possible using Intel Rapid Start.

Intel 4th Gen Core Series i7 Desktop Processor delivers a 64-bit, multi-core processor built on 22-nanometer process technology. Intel 4th Generation Core Series i7 Processor is designed for a two-chip platform consisting of a processor and Platform Controller Hub (PCH). The processors are designed to be used with the Intel 8 Series chipset. Intel HD Graphics 4600 are included in the processor, along with virtualization technology, a new Haswell instruction set, and new anti-theft and identity protection technology.
